Abstract
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a common cardiovascular disorder that significantly impairs patients' quality of life. Psychological factors play a crucial role in the onset, progression, and prognosis of CHD, yet traditional treatments have predominantly focused on physiological aspects, often neglecting psychological interventions. To investigate the impact of psychological intervention on the quality of life in CHD patients, this study selected 300 CHD patients admitted to a tertiary hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 as subjects. Patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, each comprising 150 participants, using a random number table method. The control group received routine care, while the observation group underwent a six-month psychological intervention program, which included individualized psychological counseling, relaxation training, and health education, in addition to routine care. The SF-36 questionnaire was used to evaluate the quality of life of both groups before and after the intervention. At baseline, no statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups across all indicators. After six months of intervention, the observation group exhibited significantly higher scores in physical functioning, role-physical, bodily pain, general health, vitality, social functioning, role-emotional, and mental health dimensions compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences. These findings indicate that psychological interventions can effectively improve the quality of life in CHD patients. Innovatively integrating multiple psychological intervention measures for CHD patients not only addresses the shortcomings of traditional treatments that overlook psychological factors but also provides valuable reference for clinical implementation of psychological interventions in CHD patients, thereby enhancing overall patient health and demonstrating important clinical and social significance.
