摘 要
中小企业作为国民经济的重要组成部分，在推动经济增长、促进就业和技术创新方面发挥着不可替代的作用。然而，知识产权保护不足严重制约了中小企业的创新发展和市场竞争力提升。为探究知识产权保护对中小企业竞争力的影响机制，本研究基于产权理论与竞争优势理论，以我国31个省市自治区的256家制造业中小企业为样本，采用问卷调查法和结构方程模型进行实证分析。研究发现，知识产权保护能够通过增强企业创新能力、优化资源配置、降低经营风险等途径显著提升中小企业竞争力；同时，政府政策支持在其中起到重要的正向调节作用。本研究创新性地构建了知识产权保护影响中小企业竞争力的理论框架，揭示了政府政策支持的中介效应，为完善我国中小企业知识产权保护体系提供了理论依据和实践指导，有助于营造良好的创新创业环境，推动中小企业高质量发展。

Abstract
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as a vital component of the national economy, play an indispensable role in promoting economic growth, fostering employment, and driving technological innovation. However, inadequate intellectual property (IP) protection significantly hinders the innovative development and market competitiveness enhancement of SMEs. To investigate the impact mechanism of IP protection on the competitiveness of SMEs, this study employs property rights theory and competitive advantage theory, using a sample of 256 manufacturing SMEs from 31 provincial-level administrative regions in China. The research adopts a questionnaire survey method and structural equation modeling for empirical analysis. Findings indicate that IP protection can substantially enhance SME competitiveness by strengthening corporate innovation capabilities, optimizing resource allocation, and reducing operational risks. Moreover, government policy support plays a crucial positive moderating role in this process. This study innovatively constructs a theoretical fr amework elucidating how IP protection influences SME competitiveness and reveals the mediating effect of government policy support. It provides theoretical foundations and practical guidance for improving China’s IP protection system for SMEs, thereby contributing to the creation of a favorable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship and promoting high-quality development of SMEs.
