Abstract

  As manufacturing transitions towards intelligence, the automation of assembly systems plays a crucial role in enhancing production efficiency and product quality. This paper investigates quality control and inspection technologies for automated assembly systems, aiming to improve the stability of assembly quality through the integration of advanced sensing technologies and intelligent algorithms. Based on the requirements of smart manufacturing within the context of Industry 4.0, this study focuses on achieving real-time monitoring and precise control of the assembly process. By employing multi-sensor fusion technology to acquire critical parameters during assembly and combining machine learning algorithms to establish predictive models, early warnings for assembly defects have been realized. The transformation and application on an actual production line of an automobile manufacturing enterprise demonstrated that this system can effectively reduce the defect rate by approximately 30%, significantly improving production efficiency. The innovation lies in the combination of deep learning with traditional inspection methods, developing an online quality monitoring system suitable for complex working conditions, which not only enhances detection accuracy but also shortens the detection cycle. Moreover, the modular design concept proposed in this study facilitates flexible configuration according to specific needs across different industries, providing technical support for promoting high-quality development in China's manufacturing sector, thus possessing significant theoretical implications and practical value.
