Abstract

This paper discusses the relationship between gender language and cultural tradition, social structure and identity, as well as the modern evolution of gender language under the new media environment. It is pointed out that gender language not only reflects the gender concept in traditional culture, but also is closely related to social class, power relationship and individual group identity. In the new media environment, gender language presents new characteristics and challenges, such as personalized ex pression and online sexism. In the part of the improvement of gender language, the article puts forward suggestions such as raising public awareness, updating language norms, formulating gender equality strategies in media advertisements, and guiding gender language in laws and policies. The importance of education was emphasized, promoting gender equality education at all levels of education and raising awareness of gender language sensitivity. At the same time, the media and advertising industries are called on to take positive measures to eliminate gender discrimination and promote the language ex pression of gender equality. Finally, the paper summarizes the main findings of gendered language research, emphasizes the importance of gender equality in language for the construction of a harmonious society, and puts forward prospects for future gendered language research and social practice.
